His loyal love is new every morning

He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as he was there for us.

You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation

Feeling strong, I offered to help a friend carry her heavy load.
She reluctantly agreed, then tenderly shared.
And as in many of life's troubles, there were no obvious answers.
All I could do was listen and love and pray, which I did.

And while I helped with her load, I stumbled over one of my own.
It was familiar, yet still took me by surprise.

My fresh load took my eyes off my friend's.
I was forced to put her load down so I could deal with my own.
Reluctantly, I told her of my trouble.
She offered to listen and love and pray, which she did.

Under the heavy load, I cried out for rescue
And my friend's prayers became part of God's rescue operation.

The voice of the Lord started to whisper.
Instead of trusting in my own strength or wits,
Circumstances forced me to trust God totally -
Not a bad idea since he's the God who raises the dead!

I heard him say: "My grace is enough; it's all you need.
For my strength comes into its own in your weakness."
And with God's help,
I was able to listen and love and pray for my friend once again.

It was then that I realized we were part of the Sisterhood.

  1. Hi Bee ...
... your blog is a fabulous idea!!

Bearing one another's burdens is a sweet gift which helps us to feel 'not so alone' in this world.
We were told ... "in this world you will have troubles"; its such a blessing to have One to go to and others to walk with while on this journey.

Love you dear sister ... ♥

  2. I absolutely agree! You have encouraged me so often and so as you are given strength and receive the prompting to share with your "sisters" please feel free to do so here.

I picture this being an oasis where people can drop by for a deep drink compliments of God and His girls.

    Love you too!!

  3. Thanks for the invitation to the Sisterhood blog! Very true words... we don't have to be all together to be used by God, to help our sisters. In brokenness, we can be vulnerable and real. I have seen/experienced many helping lifts up when I've been down this last year, and seen how God used 'sisters' as extensions of His own strong arms to do this.

  5. Life is difficult, and problems sometimes pile upon each other. We search and pray for answers that don't seem to come, at least not in our humble way of solutions. Our God is bigger than the pile. Nothing happens in our lives that He hasn't allowed for our growth.

Life is difficult. Relationships..illness...finances..employment woes..STOP I'm being buried. What is that glimmer of light I see. I hear a voice, small at first, but with increasing volume until I have no choice but to pay attention.

Life is difficult, I told you it would be that way. Do you recall when I said if they do this to me, they will do it to you also. Remember the prayer I taught you, the one that begins.."Our Father.." Have you said it today? Have you done the forgiving part? I have supplied your needs. You have eaten, have a cosy home, loved ones, and ME.

Life is difficult. The narrow path is often strewn with hazards. Walk a little longer, have patience, faith. "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard what wonderful things I have for those that love and follow me"

Life is Beautiful, my wisdom and strength are sufficient for you. Come, trust me, small baby steps, one moment at a time.

  6. This exactly what I hoped would happen! Thank you to each "sister" who has contributed.

I love how the LORD gives encouragement to our faint hearts. Picks us up. Wipes the dust off our butts and then nudges us along to encourage someone else with the encouragement He has given.

I am encouraged. Please keep it coming. More LORD, more!

    Do not lead me
    I may not follow
    Take my hand,
    and walk beside.
    Let us guide each other
down the path, the narrow path.

    Do not follow me
I might walk the wrong way
    Take my hand,
    and walk beside.
    Together we will
    follow the Righteous One.

    Forever friends;
    Surmounting the obsticals
    Strewn on the narrow path.
    When you stumble
    I will encourage.
    When I fall
    you will lift up.

    Together we will follow
    the Righteous light
    We will join the others
    who walked before,
    and made it safely through.
    Promise, comittment, covenant.
    We understood.
    We completed our mission. RvH.
